Privacy Matters
HOW IS MY PRIVACY PROTECTED?
Here are some ways Dr. Fox works to protect your privacy:
1. Appointments are not scheduled “back to back” or double-booked. Your time is reserved solely for you.
2. The waiting room outside of Dr. Fox’s office (for in-person visits) is private: This is to alleviate the potential risk of patients delaying needed psychiatric medical care due to anxiety about ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and CBP (U.S. Customs and Border Protection) searches. To the extent possible, access to private areas intended for patients and their family members will also be restricted to essential medical personnel, and exclude all other staff and visitors during Dr. Fox’s business hours.
3. Your personal health information will not be transmitted to an insurance company unless you choose to do so. That means your information will only be released by you—-you are in charge.
4. Dr. Fox has a solo practice. That means no one else in the organization is going to be accessing your medical files. After all, in a treatment relationship, there needs to be trust.
